Are you ready for some Football?!

Ryden learned today what most men do on a fall sunday; stay in their pj's on the couch, watch football and take naps at halftime. I think he enjoyed it, and I think Bri enjoyed having someone to watch the games with!

Family Self Portrait

We exposed Ryden to something Brian and I are known for....our professional self-portrait shots. One of our friends jokes that all of our pictures are at an arms length. Bri did a really good job of getting us in the photo and Ryden is actually looking at the camera! Notice Ryden not only hugs Sophie now but gives her lots of kisses too!

For the love of Sophie

These last couple weeks Ryden has really discovered his hands. It is funny how he tries to fit both of his tiny fists into his mouth at the same time. At times he gets frustrated when he can't chew on them the way he wants to. So I gave him Sophie the giraffe to chew on, looks like he rather give her hugs than chew on her at this point=).

Tummy Time II

He is getting better at it, don't you think!?

Tummy Time

I have been trying to make it a point to work on tummy time with Ryden every morning, I have already learned if I do it later in the day he just won't have it. This morning was probably the best he has done, although he still needs a lot of work. He is good at getting his head up but has yet to still push off his hands and lift his shoulders. Keep at it Ryden!

Retro Ryden

I absolutely love the retro camera application on my droid, especially because I have such a good subject to shoot everyday. Looking at these pictures and gazing into Ryden's eyes full of wonder has made me think....what is HE thinking? What are his thoughts during these first 10 weeks of his precious life?

Rockin Ryden

I think he is going to love music as much as me, what do you think?

A toast to two!

Today we toast to two months of Ryden. It is remarkable how much he has changed week to week in this second month. Here are some of his milestones/memories this month.
  • Now weighs 10 lbs 12 oz and is 23 inches long! He is in the 20 percentile for weight and head size and is in the 75 percentile for length, which was shocking to find out since Bri and I are not the tallest of people=).
  • Still has blue eyes.
  • Started smiling and cooing. It is so nice to wake up in the morning to a baby who is smiling ear to ear!
  • Started to learn the difference between day and night. Has slept five hours in a row at the start of the night twice=).
  • Falls asleep quickly when driving in the car.
  • Sounds like he is saying Maaaaaa when he cries.
  • Looks like a zombie when he stretches. Stretches a lot!
  • Loves his hair being stroked.
  • Started mimicking! One night Bri and I stuck our tongue out and he watched closely and started doing it back! Then gets really startled when we laugh!

Beach Trip

Labor day weekend marked Ryden's first trip to the beach! We met up with Grandma and Pops Sangalli to spend a night at their beach house. Although Ryden slept through most of the trip he had his first campfire, first hike and walk on the beach. We were lucky to get beautiful weather, where else will it be 62 degrees and women are still laying out in bikini's?! I can't wait for next year when he will be running and playing in the sand!
