Sweet four.

Since Boo Bear is 5 months on Monday I thought it was about time I write down my memories of him at four months.  Time sure flies with two busy boys.  It is going to make for very interesting days when B is mobile!
At his four month appointment his doctor agreed with me that B has Gerd (acid reflux).  At around 4 months it was seeming to get a lot worse versus better.  Our nights consisted of short periods of sleep between 30 minutes to only an hour.  He would cry so hard after feedings in the night that his sweet voice was starting to become hoarse.  It was heart breaking and very tiring for me.  After trying numerous things to help him we finally resorted to medicine; which has helped a lot and now he can sleep at the most 6 hours at the beginning of the night.  I don't want these baby days to slip away from me but I also long for a good nights rest.  Even 4 hours in a row would be wonderful.  Although having a baby who doesn't sleep baby well at all is hard I do love waking up to him on my chest and seeing his precious face.  So peaceful and sweet.
Although he doesn't sleep well at night he luckily on most days is a good napper.  He would prefer to nap at home in his rock n play and is less likely to sleep on the go like R.
The week he turned four months he turned over twice from belly to back but hasn't chosen to do it since.
A couple days after he turned four months he also sprouted 2 canine teeth.  Is that why he doesn't sleep he is really my little vampire baby???  All you can still see is the small white caps of the teeth at the gum line.
He loves to play at his activity center and grabs wildly at the little toys hovering above.  He also really enjoys his vibrating bouncy chair and kicks his legs to make it bounce more.
He is intrigued by his big brother  who loves to make him laugh and smile.  If you want to hear him smile you simply have to say, "booya"!  It will instantly put him into hysterics.
He still is using a pacifier but I don't know if I'm still convinced he is a true "paci baby".  He also enjoys holding onto your hand or a rattle.  Often it ends up in his mouth.  He still is adorned at all times with a bib; luckily we go through less a day now though!

Statistics at 4 months

- Weight:  14 lbs 12.5 oz (47 %)
-  Height:  26 inches (85%)
-  Head:  41.3cm (25%)

1,2.....3!

Here we are at 3 months; well March 6th was the actual date.  Getting more into a groove now in terms of a schedule but that schedule doesn't usually include anything I need/want to get done.  It involves meal times and nap times.  Luckily B went down ok tonight so I have a few free hours to watch Survivor and quickly write this post.

He is a big boy; well in comparison to what R was at his age.  He is pretty easy going and happy most of the time.  He will let you know when his diaper is wet or he is hungry.  He is OK in the car seat but I can tell he rather not be in it.  He is a good at napping at this point and has 3 solid ones a day.  On the other hand he is pretty horrible at nights at this point.  Currently I fall asleep a lot with him in my arms and have tried numerous sleeping situations to see what he likes best.  Right now he is in the Rock N' Play which he seems to enjoy.
My uniform these days is primarily track suits.  No nice clothes around this kiddo yet; he still spits up quit a lot.  I have been dairy free since the end of February and that seems to have made a big difference in his gas & spitting up.
Nicknames:  Boo boo, Boo boo bear, Brennie Boo or Bear

Does really well holding his head up and loves to check things out.  Loves the bouncy chair and it is so cute to see him kick his little legs wildly so the chair bounces.  Relaxes if fussy when put in the baby bjorn carrier.

He continues to be the perfect addition to our little family of 4!

R insisted on a series of pictures doing his famous "pirate eye"

"This is my best friend"!

These are two peas in a pod!  They have gone to school together since they were 4 months & are the only ones that can keep up with one another!  I love the way they play together; it is so endearing to see.  R kept running around the playground and telling other moms that, "this is my best friend"!  So cute!

Dentist dude.

We were so impressed how well this kid did at his 2nd visit to the dentist.  He did better than me getting his teeth polished!  Way to go R!
